dc.description.abstract Information technology in inventory management acts as a tool for enhancing efficiency and cost reduction. TI1e study sought to determine the impact of information technology on inventory management in Hospital. The objectives of the study were to establish the extent of usage of I'T systems in inventory management and to determine the impact of [T used on inventory management performance in hospital. The study used descriptive research design in which questionnaires were administered to different groups as per the population target. The data was analyzed using mean, standard deviation, variance, frequency and percentage. The study recorded a response rate of 65%. The study concluded that Vendor Managed Inventory and Transaction Process System were adopted at a great extent. From the study done in the Hospital, hospitals should invest more in modern technologies for example information communication technology in order to achieve integration, minimize communication costs, enhance efficiency and increase sharing of information, which will eventually lead to improved performance. en_US
